About me |
As a Chartered Chemical Engineer, I have worked in a variety of engineering man management and consulting roles. Having worked in South Africa, England and New Zealand, I have learned through experience that whatever the business, change is fundamental to success - and effective change is underpinned by effective communication. Getting buy-in from those affected by change is the key to achieving the desired end result. In combination with my technical and man-management experience, I have developed my own unique style of communication - which I term "Visualisation" - in order to help organisations understand and communicate complex change. Whether it's communicating a strategic vision, implementing changes to business procedures and responsibilities, or promoting services in the market place, this combination of technical know-how and visual communication proves to be an effective recipe for successful change. I am currently employed with Beca (engineers, planners and managers) based in Auckland, where I am responsible for providing Asset Management and Visualisation solutions for clients. I also have a private enterprise through which I deliver Visualisation solutions for non-Beca clients. I lecture part-time at the Auckland Institute of Studies on Project Management as part of the MBA program. In February 2009 I presented at the World Conference of Visual Thinkers in San Jose, California |
